Cable Reels

Motor- and spring-driven cable reels are designed for the power supply to movable machines. Those are manufactured in accordance with the travel distances, the power of the movable machines, ambient conditions and of course the type of cable. Regarding the version of the cable reel it is differentiated between cylindrical and spiral version. Which one of these versions is chosen depends on the customer’s resp. design-requirements.

Special designs and the required accessories are innovatively produced by Stemmann-Technik corresponding to the customer’s requirements and application.

Motor-driven cable reels

Mobile equipment, in particular various types of cranes such as gantry cranes and indoor cranes, different loading devices and open-cast mining large-scale equipment but also longitudinal scraper bridges in purification plants and travelling platforms implement the transfer of energy and data via flexible power and control cables.

Spring-driven cable reels

Spring-driven cable reels serve for an orderly winding on and of cables, hoses or ropes - mainly for cranes, stacking devices or in wastewater engineering. Driven by spiral leaf springs, they represent a cost-effective alternative to motor-driven cable reels - in particular for mobile equipment without an independent power supply.
